Provide leadership to drive growth in business cooperation between GEPS & China supplier base.
Support the supplier quality engineering team as a technical expertise for supplier activities directed toward process control and quality assurance of Power Generation components.
Establish a structured approach for consistency and adherence to quality procedures and requirements.
Drive continuous improvement of supplier's quality, cycle, and delivery performance through Six Sigma.
Aid in supplier approval process - manufacturing, technology, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) risk analysis.
Work closely with GE Energy Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Engineering to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may effect quality and delivery requirements. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
BS in Mechanical, Welding, Aerospace or Material Science
Minimum of 10 years relevant working experience in the professional area as measuring engineer
Hands-on experience in supplier technical development or supplier quality development
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ANSI Y14.5: familiar with the standard and application is needed.
Product Lay-out: experience measurement and layout of large parts (larger than 10 tons) is preferred
Coordinate Measurement Equipment: experience programming and using CMM's.
Experience with manufacturing processes and inspection techniques (Forging, Machining, Welding, Brazing, Blending, etc.)
